As part of the Be Someone project with Story Factory, I had the absolute joy of bringing students’ imagined characters to life for the Heroes and Villains section of the book.
Students from Noumea Public and Shalvey Public sketched out their own original superheroes and supervillains—each one packed with personality, creativity and meaning. Using their concept drawings as a starting point, I illustrated each character for the final publication, staying true to the unique details and ideas imagined by the students.
It was such a fun and rewarding process, and a great way to celebrate student voice through both words and visuals.
